I started Breaking in 2010 at my middle school in Long Island with couple of friends. I now reside in Queens and I’m currently 21 years old. Throughout my journey, I was blessed with a plethora of mentors that guided me through Breaking during either practice or events. I joined Floor Obsession near the end of 2016, where I began to take this dance seriously as a reflection of my identity. My “obsession” pertains to the music, attitude, “pick and […]

Three Things to Love About the Bboy/Bgirl Community We all have qualms and issues about our Breaking Community, but when it gets down to it, we love it. With such a unique dance, that combines art, music, athleticism, and dance, you just have to look past all those negative mentalities and Facebook statuses to remember why you fell in love with the dance in the first place. Let’s take some time to look into just three things to love […]

On Friday, May 2nd, Floor Obsession teamed up with advertising agency Knarf and the PMT Dance Studio to bring something special for the 3rd annual MCA Day. Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch was most well known for being apart of the Beastie Boys group. He passed away 3 years ago after a three year long battle against cancer. In memorial, the agency wanted to bring together something to remember Yauch by which they came up with the idea to bring two things that […]

March has been a great month with Floor Obsession traveling outside the states for their First International Jams! Their First stop was Battle Best of the Best, in Mulhouse France. It was a great experience to see a France event and the level of production put into it. Bgirl Sunny was able to battle through the prelims to get into the two last spots in the International Bgirl Battle. She then ended up battle Bgirl Kate from Ukraine and in […]

I’ve been described as “up and coming” for several years. One would think that after one year of not going anywhere, people would stop saying such things. However, due to my intermittent appearances in the breaking scene, coupled with my boyish good looks, people always think that I’m some rising, young, star-in-the-making. This is, of course, about as inaccurate as it can get. My usual response to being described as “up and coming” has always been the revoltingly corny, yet […]

I rep Queens, NYC. Some battles that I had won are Pro-AM 1on1s in Florida, OVRDrive in Boston, and Kings Of New York. I started b-boying in 2007, and got into it after being introduced to the dance by my best friend. My style is mostly all around and trying to be well rounded in both sets and freestyle. I rep Queens, NY and also Long Island, NY, and my inspirations in breaking are my friends and my crew. Other than […]

Hometown/Places you rep: Long Island, New York and Taipei, Taiwan Favorite Bboy/Bgirls: Nono (Vagabonds), Megas (Boogie Brats), Lil Amok (Terror Bunch) Why did you start breakin? Having lived in Long Island for my whole life, it was always quite boring. All it was, was just a random hobby that would get me girls. How would you describe your style? Anything goes. B-boying has so much to offer, so why limit yourself to learning one area? What is your greatest achievement […]

Why did you start breakin? “I was always interested in breaking but when my friend showed me his baby freeze, that’s when I got really into it.” How would you describe your style? “Lots and lots of footwork techs and more to come.” What do you do when you are not dancing? “I like to play video games, watch movies and PARTY!” What are some future aspirations? “I’m currently going to Baruch college studying CIS. I am also considering going […]

I started breaking when I was a senior in high school. Currently I’m in the Hunter Nursing program and expect to graduate in 2012; hopefully the world won’t end. I dream to visit the awesomest beaches around the world. And I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and calamari. F.OB — Peace!

I started breaking during the end of 2003. When I was in High school, I became interested in breaking because of my lack of hobbies, and I thought to myself, “Hey, breaking would be such a great way to get girls’ attention.” Although that was my mindset when I first started, it quickly changed to something more meaningful. My b-boy style is a little bit of everything. It has the old school/new school foundation, tricks, power, footwork, flow, energy, and […]

I used to drive the Red Bull truck. One year, Red Bull decided to hire Macho and Bebo of Ground FX to entertain the Red Bull workers at an employee event. Macho taught me a baby freeze and, as they say, the rest is history. When I’m not breakin’, I am most likely designing curriculum and educational tech and video games, teaching ESL, eating cereal, playing RPGs, or watching Korean dramas. Shout out to my crew Florox (US and Korea!), Front […]
